The Spitzer gate

From Wikinormous

The sheriff of Wall Street, the Governor, the Attorney General, the Stigmatized
Other more prejudice and impertinent names were given the scandal. An amazing media turmoil with the most obvious intention for political character assassination, so much so when the public kind of sensed the overkill in mass medial message, the better (worse for the public, and Eliot). Because when too obvious, it becomes the classical – tell a big lie repeatedly the people will believe it

With Eliot Spitzer it certainly was the case of diversion. Spitzer may or may not have been "guilty" when it comes to fidelity. What was left out in a major way was plainly what Spitzer normally was doing by profession. Something was about to come out which involved far higher and far more numbered set of guilty financial swindling artists. Those in the higher racketeering business. Ironically focus was later put on "Gov. Eliot Spitzer's suspicious money transfers"

Eliot wrote in Washington Post, February 14, 2008; Page A25;

Predatory Lenders' Partner in Crime

How the Bush Administration Stopped the States From Stepping In to Help Consumers
"... Even though predatory lending was becoming a national problem, the Bush administration looked the other way and did nothing to protect American homeowners. In fact, the government chose instead to align itself with the banks that were victimizing consumers ..."

Eliot, as New York State Attorney General, by Greg Palast called Sheriff of Wall Street, joined with colleges from the other 49 states and a big cleansing was in the making. 8 months after his stigmatization and the fall of the Sheriff, the financial world has hardly become any prettier. The exponential swindling is unheard of, and it is indeed global.

As far as I know only one journalist has written and done interviews "this side of Spitzer". The cool guy with his hat, Greg Palast. Read and listen to his report "Eliot's mess" from March 14th, 2008

The mass media press coverage can be easily checked again, if forgotten (?)

Extras

Kristian Nilsson luckily kept nagging me if I knew anything about this Eliot mess, which I didn't at first (other than the propagated one) till he found Greg's financial investigation. If not the whole truth, a much wider scope of the intrigues of global finance.

Is Spitzer now free from charges? The damage could hardly be undone.
